SECUR-EU Partners actively implement the Project Work Plan

SECUR-EU Consortium continues implementing the EU/ECCC co-funded Project „Enhancing Security of European SMEs in Response to Cybersecurity Threats”. The project objectives are to achieve enterprise-grade security for open-source (OS) security projects, provide open-source security solutions to the SME market, enhance white-hat testing techniques via the HackOlympics initiative, support the market and improve the quality and spread of innovative cybersecurity solutions, and improve knowledge and auditing of cybersecurity preparedness.

SECUR-EU Partners actively contribute in the Kick-Off Meeting

SECUR-EU Consortium is pleased to announce starting the implementation of the Project „Enhancing Security of European SMEs in Response to Cybersecurity Threats”. The Project objectives are: Open-Source (OS) security projects to achieve enterprise grade security; Provide open-source security solutions to the SME market; Enhance the white-hack testing techniques via the HackOlympics initiative; To support the market and improve the quality and spread of innovative cybersecurity solutions; and To improve knowledge and auditing of cybersecurity preparedness.

SECUR-EU envisions a heightened level of security across Europe’s digital infrastructure, protecting from sophisticated cyberattacks that threaten the centuries of progress that have brought us this far. Our foundational principles which promote peace, democracy, and human rights are constantly being threatened. The SECUR-EU initiative aims to mirror the EU’s example of solidarity, cooperation, and mutual respect, with all members working together to address common security challenges and pursue shared goals.  We can, and we will make every effort to protect the foundation which has nurtured our cultures, from all malicious digital threats that aim to harm our values, principles, economies, governments, or citizens. To this end, the SECUR-EU consortium will design, research and develop a threat intelligence framework for comprehensive protection of critical infrastructures by combining uniquely:

  1. Detection and classification (MITRE ATT&CK) of attacks and actions from sophisticated threat actors on critical infrastructure. Dedicated adversary simulation sessions will be developed to effectively train security experts on the addressed attacks.
  2. Penetration testing tools and techniques will be further developed in order to address the upcoming vulnerabilities and working exploits. Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms will be used to estimate the vulnerabilities and the most effective exploits. Intelligent tools will be able to devise and execute sophisticated attacks depending on the critical infrastructure.
  3. Next generation interconnected Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) using AI predictive models will be able to detect and prevent sophisticated attacks on the network and the system layers.
  4. Decentralized information sharing system based on the P2P network communication protocol shall share encrypted sensitive information, with cryptography algorithms being used between the data transfer layers.
  5. AI-enhanced technology will maximize the capability of SECUR-EU solution to effectively predict, detect, and analyze upcoming threats.
  6. User-centric dashboard will allow different stakeholders to achieve dynamic interactions with each of developed components.
