CYBER-BRIDGE: A NEW STEP TOWARDS CROSS-BORDER CYBERSECURITY AND COMPLIANCE IN EUROPE

CYBER-BRIDGE is a newly signed European Project coordinated by I-ENERGYLINK, strengthening cross-border cybersecurity cooperation and regulatory compliance across the EU’s digital ecosystem. Starting on 1st of December 2025 and running for 36 months, the project is funded under the Digital Europe Programme, within the DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-07 Call. The Grant Agreement has been signed by the Coordinator and the European Commission – European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), on 8th of December 2025.

At a time of increasing cyber threats and regulatory complexity, the project addresses a critical European need: stronger collaboration in cybersecurity, effective threat intelligence sharing, and increased resilience of critical infrastructures. By supporting compliance with key EU regulatory frameworks and advancing cybercrime investigation capabilities, CYBER-BRIDGE contributes to a safer, more coordinated digital environment. Capacity building remains central, with a strong focus on training, skills development, and structured knowledge exchange across Member States.

To achieve these objectives, the project develops AI-powered solutions supporting SMEs, Security Operations Centres (SOCs), Critical Infrastructure Operators, and Law Enforcement Authorities in managing cybersecurity risks more effectively. At the core lies an intelligent platform enabling real-time threat intelligence exchange, compliance monitoring, and forensic analysis. Practical guidance on NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act, and GDPR helps organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture while navigating complex regulatory requirements.

A strong European consortium underpins the project’s ambition. Nine organizations from Romania, Hungary, Greece, and Cyprus bring together technical excellence, regulatory expertise, and operational experience. Alongside I-ENERGYLINK (RO) as coordinator, the Consortium includes BOLTONSHIELD HUNGARY KFT (HU), CERTH (GR), CLONE SYSTEMS (CY), the Romanian National Cybersecurity Directorate (RO), ELIAS NEOCLEOUS & CO LLC (CY), EXIMPROD ENGINEERING (RO), the General Directorate of Internal Protection – DIPI (RO), and the International Hellenic University (GR).
