Dr. Mihai Paun
Dr. Mihai PAUN (male) is founder of I-ENERGYLINK leading the Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) Department.
He has over 30 years’ experience in the electricity industry, at managerial and executive level in electricity transmission, distribution and generation, in both national and international environment. PhD degree in Power Engineering and a master’s degree in financial management and Banks. He gained EU experience at the European Networks of Transmission System Operators for Electricity, ENTSO-E, at Mediterranean Transmission System Operators for Electricity – Med-TSO and previously on Energy Policy and Distribution Networks at EURELECTRIC – Union of the Electricity Industry in Brussels.
Relevant experience in managing international energy projects financed by International Financial Institutions, including Economic Resilience Initiative – Infrastructure Technical Assistance – ERI – ITA financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) – the West Bank Power Distribution Reinforcement Study Palestine (West Bank) on the Five Years Electricity Distribution Network Reinforcement Investment Plan (5YDNRIP).
Author of more than 80 papers and articles published and presented at International Conferences in the power sector. Track record of successfully completed multilateral European Study Projects: e-Highway2050 FP7 Project, ERMInE FP6 – European Research Map in Electricity (Project Manager at EURELECTRIC), TELMARK FP5 – Technology Impact of Load Profiling for Electricity Market Development in Europe (Project Manager and co-author). Project Manager and coordinator of over ten EU H2020 funded Projects, including: SUCCESS – Securing Critical Energy Infrastructures, RE-SERVE – Renewables in a Stable Electric Grid and Wise-GRID – Wide scale demonstration of Integrated Solutions and business models for European smart GRID, NRG5 – Enabling Smart Energy as a Service via 5G Mobile Network advances, CROSSBOW – CROSS Border management of variable renewable energies and storage units enabling a transnational Wholesale market, SOGNO – Service Oriented Grid for the Network of the Future.
Appointed Member of the European Economic and Social Committee – ECOSOC Section for Transport, Energy, Infrastructure and the Information Society – TEN/211; Independent Expert evaluator for the EC FP6, FP7, H2020 – Energy and ICT Projects since 2000. Appointed Member of the Board at ELECTRICA DSO DMN in 2012-2016; Founder and Secretary General of the Professional Energy Association – Romanian Energy Center since 2011 and Vice-President since 2014.

Carina ZIDARU
Carina ZIDARU (female) is Communication and Visibility Advisor at I-ENERGYLINK. She graduated Commuication and Public Relations Faculty at the National School of Political Science and Administration – SNSPA Bucharest. She has experience in communication in H2020 implemented Projects, including WiseGRID, SOGNO, CROSSBOW, PHOENIX, and is currently coordinating Communication and Visibility activities within current projects in the power sector and actively engaged in communication and cooperation with Partners in H2020 and HEurope projects

Daniel NITA
Daniel NITA (male) Currently is ICT Consultant at I-ENERGYLINK, with Technical Expert skills and Product Manager experience in the telecommunication systems and developing projects such as “Smart City” in 2016 in Romania developed by Telekom Romania in partnership with Cisco, regarding solutions for smart parking system – “Tap & Park”, smart and multifunctional lighting pole, with video surveillance, electric vehicles charging stations and environmental sensors.

Eng. Radu PLAMANESCU
Eng. Radu PLĂMĂNESCU MSc in Power Engineering (2018) and Assistant Professor at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is pursuing the PhD at UPB on synchronized measurements and high-reporting rate PQ equipment to develop new protection and control algorithms for microgrids. Radu spent a leave in 2019 at Colorado State University as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar, with research focused on high-reporting rate voltage and current measurements. As recognition for the work in the microgrid field, he is part of the International Committee of Microgrid Symposium Series. Radu had experience as Research assistant at G2Elab, INP Grenoble, France and Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He is Project Manager and coordinating activities in H2020 and ERASMUS Plus Projects related to energy and electricity grid development, and education for digitalizing the power sector.
